What is an interactive story gift?
A short story starring the person you're giving it to, which they play rather than read: illustrated scenes, dialogue and choices that change what happens. You make it on Pominis and send it as a link.
How much does it cost?
Yes, to start. New accounts get 300 free credits, and the free plan adds 120 credits every week. An illustrated chapter usually uses around 100 to 130 credits. Playing and publishing stories is free; paid plans add more credits, higher image quality, HTML export and commercial use.
Is it private?
Publish it unlisted: it doesn't appear in public listings, and only people with the link can open it. Links can be forwarded, so leave out anything you wouldn't want shared. You can also keep a story private to yourself.
Can they play it on a phone?
Yes. It opens in a phone or computer browser, with nothing to install.
How long does it take to make?
About 5 to 10 minutes for the first chapter, plus however long you spend polishing it. You can add chapters later, for the next birthday or anniversary.
Can I write it in Chinese?
Yes. The story is written in the language you write in: English, Chinese or another language.
