The Seventh Lantern
Seven days before impact, Ren dreams he is inside Mina Kurose's body in a ruined Hoshinokawa three years ahead. Mina, trapped in Ren's present body, appears across a broken observatory lens. Their first exchange ends with a warning that the sealed observatory is tied to the disaster, but the dream burns away before either can explain.
A comet will destroy a mountain town in seven days. In my dreams, I begin swapping bodies and memories with a stranger living three years in the future. As we slowly forget each other’s names, we must cross fractured timelines, uncover the truth, and change everyone’s fate before the comet falls.
